Electronic Poker is a popular game that is able to be gambled on in casinos around the globe, or alternatively at home on your computer, through an Internet account. The rules are very simple and involve the player trying to achieve the highest mixture of cards as you can in order to come away with money. On this account it is much the same as a classic game of poker, apart from the interaction with any other players. Of course, methods used in a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant in Video Poker.
The game of Video Poker starts when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and presses the play button. A 5 card hand will then be "dealt" on the video screen.
The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and enthusiasts should now pick which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the enthusiast would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, from all to none.
After the bettor has selected which cards she would like to retain, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any new cards will be needed they will be handed out. The round is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.
Normally, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It is obvious that the payment schedule can change from machine to machine, so that knowledgeable gamblers are agile enough to choose the most money-making ones each and every time.
Once the first round has played out, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that might have been won. Additionally, several versions of the game give the gambler a chance to increase their profits, in which case a further game is played. There are also differences among specific machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying characteristics to increase playability.
