Video Poker is a popular game that can be enjoyed in casinos throughout the globe, or alternatively at your house on your PC, using a net account. The regulations are very simple and involve the player trying to get the greatest combination of cards achievable in order to come away with money. On this account it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, without the interaction with any other players. Of course, tactics employed during a real-life game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless in Video Poker.
The game of Electronic Poker begins when the bettor inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and pushes the play button. A hand of five cards will be "distributed" on the screen.
The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and enthusiasts will need to now decide which cards to keep and which to discard. For the cards the bettor would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the bettor has decided on which cards he would like to retain, they should press ‘draw’, which will mean that any new cards will be handed out if desired. The hand is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.
Normally, the minimum winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It is obvious that the pay out schedule can range from machine to machine, so that experienced players are agile enough to select the most profitable ones each time.
As soon as the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to continue on and try to to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that they may have won. Further, a few versions of the game allow the player a chance to double their profits, in which situation a further hand is played. There are also variations among specific machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying aspects to enhance playability.
