Electronic Poker is a beloved game that usually will be played in casinos around the globe, or alternatively at home on your personal computer, through a net connection. The rules are absolutely simple and consist of the player trying to achieve the greatest mixture of cards possible in order to win money. On this account it is much the same as a classic game of poker, without the interaction with other players. Of course, techniques used in a real-life game of poker, such as tricking, will be useless here.
The game of Electronic Poker begins when the player inserts credits (whether it’s tokens, tickets or cash) into the video poker machine and pushes the deal button. A five card hand will be "given out" on the video screen.
The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and players will need to now decide which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the player wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it is all or none.
After the gambler has chosen which cards he would like to keep, the player will then press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards are dealt if desired. The round is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the payment schedule.
Generally, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It is obvious that the pay out schedule can range from game to game, so that experienced gamblers are able to choose the most profitable machine each and every instance.
After the initial round has played out, the player can either choose to remain on and try to to maximize their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that might been won. Further, a few versions of the game allow the gambler a chance to double their winnings, in which instance another round is played. There are also differences between specific games, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying characteristics to increase playability.
